The lymphatic system is a network of tissues, vessels and organs that work together to move a colorless, watery fluid called lymph back into your circulatory system (your bloodstream). Lymph contains white blood cells, and the system itself helps your body get rid of toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials. When bacteria are recognized in the lymph fluid, the lymph nodes make more infection-fighting white blood cells, which can cause swelling. So how does your body know what time it is? There are multiple places in the body that help us keep track of time, all coordinated together to help this balance between sleeping and wakening. From years of research, we now know about the different factors that affect our perceptions and assumptions of time. There is a reason why we should stop screen time before we go to bed.
